EXPERIENCED ESTATE PLANNING
Protect Your Legacy
Yacobi Law, APC is an estate planning law firm unlike any other. Here we focus on helping families in the Los Angeles area plan for an uncertain future so that they can focus on enjoying today. Estate planning is a life-long activity. We always build close relationships so that you're working with someone who understands where your true wealth is: your family and your values. No matter where life takes you, we are here to make sure your children and your legacy are taken care of the way you want them to be.
WHY WE'RE DIFFERENT
I discovered the estate planning industry was designed to serve people who were preparing for death. My clients need personal and comprehensive legal services for their growing families who experience lots of change on their way to success.
The Traditional Experience
During the traditional experience, you’ll go in and meet with a lawyer who will often make things seem very complicated and confusing. You’ll have the lawyer prepare documents for you and you’ll sign them. You’ll take your planning binder home, stick it on a shelf, mark "Estate Planning" done on your checklist and never think about it again.
Your lawyer mentions moving your bank accounts into the trust. You call your lawyer’s office, get a voicemail, and wait hours or days for a callback. By that time, you're busy with other things and never get around to moving that bank account. Then, you get a bill in the mail for $100 for 15 minutes of your lawyer’s time for answering a couple of questions.
Your children will get older, making your guardianship choices outdated, but you don’t want to call your lawyer because you know you’ll get a bill in the mail two weeks later.
It’s not until you become incapacitated or die that your family will realize your plan is so outdated that it has nothing to do with your life, your assets and the law. They don’t know where to turn or what to do, so they contact the same lawyer you used to prepare the documents, who is happy to probate your assets in court.
Our Firm Helps Prepare You for Life
We understand you are BUSY and you value efficiency. You want to make sure your children would be taken care of in the best way possible. That is our focus as well. We give you access to a personal family attorney so you can have the guidance you need to maintain a life of prosperity.
We encourage communication with our clients so you never have to be afraid to call with a quick question. Everything we do is billed on a flat-fee basis and agreed to in advance, so there are never any surprises.
When you call our office, you’ll get your question answered right away. If you need to schedule a more in-depth call with your personal attorney, a call will be scheduled when you're ready so we can make the very best use of your time.
We also ensure your plan continues to work throughout your lifetime. We coordinate funding to ensure none of your assets will end up going through a long, expensive court process or lost to the state because they were missed after your incapacity or death.
The Legacy Interview
Your financial wealth is only a small part of your overall “family wealth": your far more valuable intellectual, spiritual and human assets. Most estate plans only transfer your financial wealth. The intangible nature of your other wealth can be difficult to capture, and is often lost when someone passes. How much do you know about your grandparents' values? Their most prized personal possessions? How they felt about you? What they learned during their lifetime? If you are like most people, you don't know as much as you wish to.
We help our clients pass along what they really care about to their children. We discuss the kind of advice and stories they wish their family to have forever. Then we help them record this in an interview. The final product is a lasting legacy that their children can preserve and cherish. We do this because we care about our service to our clients, both as professionals and as friends.
We look forward to seeing you and caring for your family soon!

TRUST AND ESTATE ATTORNEY
Rozita Yacobi is the founder of Yacobi Law, APC. After graduating from law school, she immediately went into practice serving the community. As a woman dedicated to her family and three children, she understands the importance of planning for your family's future and building your own legacy. She is the trusted adviser to her clients because she builds meaningful relationships.
Rozi started her legal career as an immigration and estate planning attorney. However, as she gained greater insight into the traditional model of estate planning, she realized that a big gap exists in the service of estate planning and the needs of minor children. Rozi began to cover this gap with her expertise in estate and tax planning, asset protection and kids' protection planning.
Rozi believes that the foundations of a successful family unit are care, love, and selflessness. She takes pride in providing her clients with the sense of comfort and security that comes along with having an effective and comprehensive plan in place.
